I am always tinkering. I take things apart to understand them, I fix what breaks instead of just replacing it, and I like knowing exactly how every part of my bike does its job. Somewhere along the way that turned from a chore into the part I love most.
The Shop is where I document it. Not polished how-to guides pretending I know everything, just real problems I ran into and how I worked through them. Two kinds of things live here.
Builds
Full builds, start to finish. What I started with, every part I chose and why, the tricky bits of the assembly, and how it rides once it is done.
Fixes
Real teardowns of real problems. What broke, how I figured out what was actually wrong, what I did about it, and what I learned about why it works that way.
Every bike earned, not given
My first bike was a used Specialized Rockhopper I bought off a friend for a camping trip. From there I was hooked. I sold that Rockhopper and put every dollar toward a Stumpjumper. My next bike I bought with money saved from odd jobs: walking neighborhood dogs, whatever I could find. Birthday money. Side hustles. Every bike I sold allowed me to upgrade on the next one.
My current bike I built from the ground up. Every part strategically chosen, researched, and placed. It didn't happen overnight and it didn't happen easily. But that's the bike sitting in my garage right now, and I know every inch of it because I put it together myself.
Next up here: the full Frameworks build. Every part I chose, why I chose it over the alternatives, and what was tricky about putting it together.

Love their product, so I cold emailed them as a high school student. They said yes.
Broke my wrist. Cold emailed Mobius from the hospital. They said yes.
Fixes
Teardowns and repairs, written the same way every time: what broke, how I diagnosed it, how I fixed it, and why it works. The first one is already partly told over in the journal.
